I like to look for these mysterious missing spaces whenever I’m about.
Even in places you’ve never been before?
Crawl spaces are very mysterious.
Growing up there was this stairway covered by a wall that lead from one of our upstairs bedrooms to the kitchen. The basement stairs went under these stairs, so I knew they were there. And the bed room above them had a spot where you could feel a sheet of plywood under the rug. My mom did actully have the wall openned up. Now there wasn’t anything hidden in the staircase besides an old red wall hook. My mother had the doorway turned into a cupboard. So now once again the stairs are sealed for who knows how long.
Ugh! So creepy!
For most of my life, I had lived in apartment complexes & town houses, so I had never experience such weird phenomena. I can easily see how this could make you feel uncomfortable, but it’s odd that your parents felt that this wasn’t such a big issue.
On a more lighter note, I was watching one of my favourite music videos, and I was surprised to see your name in the credits. While this film may be more recent than anything else, I think it’s worthy of a future post.
Have a good one, Gabe.
Well, they probably didn’t even care
Yep, I worked on that one a long long time ago. So glad you liked it!
I liked it too.
Did you used old techniques like using top pegs and inking each drawing straight-ahead?
We did ink and animate it all pre-digital, the coloring was digital, and the BGs were watercolored. We tried to animated it all in the 1920s-1930s Fleischer style and they didn’t really animate straight ahead, most of their animation was cycle based.
