Also I notice you’re using GB – I think I read some cool tip once that you can drag samples (AIFF I think) onto the piano keys of the drum instrument to allow your keys to play samples? So like record yourself making funny noises into your laptop mic, drag the file onto one or several keys and then play it back, Ferris Bueller style…. At least you could in one version of GB! 🙂
I haven’t used GarageBand in a long time (I upgraded to Logic years ago, and right now I’m in the process of switching to Reaper), but surely arranging your samples as one-shots on the timeline is a big part of what makes it so annoying to do?
One of the GB JamPacks (which also come with Logic) has a bunch of analog drum sample sets which will probably sound like what you want.
nothing says 80s like a sinthisizer…
Agreed! 🙂
I like the music in your toons.
Thanks so much! I have no idea what I’m doing! 🙂
Keep it minimalist and retro! 🙂

That’s an awesome idea! I’ll totally use that for a cartoon!
I love GB. I use it all the time and especially love the magic 8-bit plugin!
Have you ever heard of Amiga during the analog age?
Of course! I did all my early animation on my Amiga 300 in DPaint!
Well can you use that same program for your comic? It’ll give that retro look to it.
Well, maybe. It’s not practical at all, and I have so little time to work on these comics as it is… 🙁

Hmm, I’ll check it out.
For me, GB’s not the problem, it’s actual music theory.. 🙂
Can I just say, +10000 for Reaper! 🙂
What’s reaper?
Ah it’s just another DAW, like GarageBand or Logic.
