This is “Analog Agent Benjamin” coming at you this week with…. The Other World
The Other World was this cool series of bendable figures that no one remembers.

I remember getting almost all the figures in this series as a kid, they were very cool looking, and they had some great monster figures in the series as well. These were the type of toys you could only find at bargain stores or flea markets.
Anybody, anybody at all ever hear or have Other World figures? Am I the only one?
This one stumps me. Never heard of them.
Knock offs maybe?
That is kinda what I was thinking. Looks too much like Masters of the Universe/She-Ra.
I absolutely remember them! I had a lot of them as well.
They had glow-in-the-dark weapons and were about 3.75 inches.
They were everywhere for a time. From memory, they came with tiny comic stories as well
They were made by a company called Arco.
I grew up in Australia, and had them so they must’ve gone worldwide.
The guy who made this YouTube video tribute to them obviously had them too! Haha. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2tnZNpNBvGIe
The came out in 1982 – the same year as He-man – so hard to say for sure if they were a cash-in or not. Might be one of those Simultaneous Tapping Of The Zeitgeist Situations like the existence of the movie Armageddon and Deep Impact at the same time.
More than likely The Other World toy line was riding the wave of the 80s Fantasy Boom spearheaded by the 1981 Conan The Barbarian Film.
The most comprehensive resource online that I’ve found for them is here: http://www.virtualtoychest.com/otherworld/otherworld.html
Hope this helps!
yr pal,
Hoardax
Wow! I had that whole set. I totally forgot about ’em.
Still have mine
I remember them as well! I am 41 years old now and had a few of them. the iron skeleton always came through the rubber skin after a while. They where pretty populair for a year orso here in the toy stores (the Netherlands) after that they completely dissapeared very fast.
