back in sixties we got a Morgan Dolar, then in the seventies, we got an Eisenhower Dollar, the Bicentennial one.
Oh yeah, I remember. My grandpa would collect coins, so we’d get all kinds of whacky ones too!
To this day, I still have that Bicentennial Dollar and a Peace Dollar I got one year. All the Morgans were stolen.
I remember that feeling as a little kid when I got a Quarter. It made me feel like I was rich. 🙂 But when I got older, I realized that I could not buy much of anything with just one Quarter. 🙁
It felt like $1000 back then!
We all probably thought that way too. I’m sure if it was a whole dollar, you could still get something nice 30 years back.
A quarter back then could still buy a candy bar. Not too bad a gift.
