How did we ever make it through school?!

Hasn’t comic books always steered us to that direction? Perhaps it’s a problem of short attention spans though of course the older I got, the more they had to make you read those books thoroughly.

I think it’s the fact that it feels like a responsible thing to do 🙂

I wonder if that same drive still happens today, or has reading been sidelined by other things.

I bet the same thing happens now. I think kids just like to interact with media instead of taking such a passive role.

I had the same problem. Then I would punch myself in the forehead to try and get myself to focus. Nothing more frustrating than having to read your homework 4 or 5 times. Great issue of Amazing Spider-Man too. The Prowler was apparently designed by John Romita Jr when he was just little boy watching his dad draw comics at home. Technically, it’s his first published character.

Woah! Crazy! I didn’t know that! That’s a amazing! I know that Romita Sr. wasn’t everyone’s favorite but I always liked him and his son!

That’s a great issue – my first one was issue 151 with a brilliant Romita senior cover. I became possessed by reading and drawing even more so from the day I discovered those comics…

His drawings are just so appealing, especially after Ditko’s run.
