    I never found that weird myself, though as a kid I never understand the value of having those gritty strips in the bathtub to prevent you from slipping when you got in or out of it. They just felt too rough on my young skin!

      We always had the soft ones that looked like flowers and butterflies!

    Those things were popular with our grandparents. Perhaps there was a nationwide door-to-door selling of them?

      Ha! Maybe! I don’t know why you would use them, I mean you can’t even enjoy the carpet! It’s the same as wrapping your furniture in plastic!

  5. I remember my grandparents having protective gear for their furniture/carpet that was very similar to this. Oh, and mothballs to their protect their clothing. Lots and lots of mothballs!
