I always remmber hearing people tell me not to cut my toe nails too short. Actully I didn’t have an ingrown toe nail until high school. Then once in college. The way they removed it was never fun. Thats prolly why you wait so long to tell anyone…
Strangely I never had this problem, nor did my mom ever told me how to do it at all, and I turned out fine (though I think I cut my nails too short since I find it a bit more manageable. I also seem to notice a pattern where I cut my fingernails twice a month and my toes once a month (and my hair twice a year, god I’m such a nerd).
And it’s good to wear glasses when trimming them, just in case…
Yes!
That skin underneath is like a button or something
I think the nerves are used to feeling through the nail, and when that’s not there, they are hyper sensitive.

Wow, it’s like clockwork with you! I can tell when my toenails are too long when I accidentally claw my wife in bed 🙂
Usually your toenails grow in slower than your fingernails.
Especially when I’m constantly biting my fingernails!
I think I gave that habit up too early!
Mine happens at random. I’ll just look down and notice they suddenly got longer…
