The act of rolling your jeans was very very very popular when I was a kid. I have no idea where it came from or who started it, but it you didn’t roll your jeans, you would look “weird”.
Here’s a handy little guide so you too can try it at home:

Step 1: Locate the corner of your pant leg

Step 2: Grasp and pull the corner away from your leg

Step 3: Tightly fold over pant leg corner

Step 4: Roll pant leg at least twice (any less might cause it to come unrolled during the course of the day)

Step 5: Look cool

    I remember that. I wasn’t “cool” so I didn’t do that. Plus I wore highwaters…

The tight roll, the tighter the roll, the better. Classic. Wonder if this will ever make a comeback.

Haha, yep, I did that too. I have no idea why or where I picked it up but I sure did it. Had to buy pants a little too long to make up for it.

I don’t remember that at all. But I’ve never been that into fashion.
