heheh, I used to do the same, first with playmobils – I remember rushing to assemble the hats and props of the figure just to look at the catalogue inside the boxes. Me and my brothers would argue for hours about the set we would ask next: what’s the coolest? Construction? Racing (I was partial to racing)? Middle-ages? Circus (if I remember correctly, one of my brothers was adamant on the circus faction)?
A bit later, our focus changed to GI Joe – same catalogue dreaming…

This reminds me of my current habit for the last 10 years or so, when I am feeling a little down, I go to the toy section at local stores and window shop. No need to buy to lift my spirits.

I always had the Kenner booklets. Beetlejuice, Batman, Jurassic Park, Star Wars. It was always those little booklets or the toy section of the JC Penny catalog. I was actually happy a few years ago when I picked up a toy and found they still included the little book!

Haha used to do the same thing when young but with Lego catalogs. Those times were magical 😀

Gah, these comics and shorts make me have all these feelings! Stop being so awesome. It makes me look bad.

That’s what they are here for–to make you have feelings, not to make you look bad 🙂

I vaguely remember these, but I remember the mini comics that came with the Masters of the Universe figures moreso b/c I still have them. Always fun to get those little extras.

Do you remember the ones that came with Hasbro toys? They had toylines I never even seen in stores.

      1. Fray says:

I vaguely do, yes. It was a good way to promote new stuff.
