Here’s the storyboard for the final episode for the time being. At the end I was a little choked up, but also excited for my next project!
“The Grate” Storyboard
This was my “prison” episode. I wanted to hold shots longer, and make it seem like there was a lot of time passing. Also tried to keep all the staging very regimented and as oppressive as I could.
Here’s the results:
“Dream House” Storyboard
This one was a lot of fun. I got to try to remember what the inside my friend’s house looked like. I’m pretty sure I got close, I’ll have to ask her!
“Grandma Candy” Storyboard
Here’s the storyboard for the latest episode. I really wanted to make the “candy fantasy” scene really exciting and graphic, and the storyboard reflected that. It turned out kinda complicated and after I was done, I knew inking and animating that one scene would take longer than the rest of the entire carton. Knowing that I wouldn’t flip out later when it would be taking forever and think I was falling behind!
“Gypped” Storyboard
Even for a very simple episode like this one, the storyboards end up being very long at 71 panels. When I time out the animatic, I need all of these poses to show every motion that is happening, if I don’t, I will have problems later when I bring everything back together…
(if you look closely, I did cut an entire scene in the final short)
“Space” Storyboard
This one was so much fun! I love drawing space stuff, planets, stars, and yes, even space gas. I kinda boarded myself into a corner there though, I had a hard time figuring out a good way to get this kind of look in flash…
