Deep. I think we all went through that Space Age as kids. I was into UFO’s. Before I knew anything about communications equipment I tried to make my own transmitter out of tin cans and a paper plate.

Wow! You were a creative driven kid! Too bad it didn’t work like in “Explorers”! 🙂

I KNEW I wasn’t the only one who wished I could go to space! Even though I’m afraid of flying, I would have no qualms about getting on a rocket and heading off to who knows where. Like you Gabe, I was humbled when I learned how truly tiny our world and we are, but am also glad I get to know what I know and marvel at what I don’t. Good times. Thank you

Ha! Yep, you aren’t alone! The wonders abound!

Its funny now cause I have very little intrest in going into space.

Have you seen Gravity? You might have even less interest in going to space! 🙂

I was totally obsessed with being an astronaut in my preteen years. I had all sorts of books about space, NASA posters in my room, and I studied ways to get into the space program. Around 6th grade or so, my teacher had us fill out long bubble-graph questionnaires that were supposed to be fed into a computer and tell us our ideal profession, and she hinted that our guidance counselor would see them to know what we should be. I excitedly tried to answer every question as an astronaut, even though lots of them were tricky (“Do you like to work outside?”). When mine came back, though, it said NURSE.

Ha! I think I took the same test as you. I answered super truthfully and HOUSE PAINTER came up for me! How wrong can those tests be?!
