This reminds me of something that happened to me in Grade 3. A boy in my class (Who sat right in front of me) wasn’t paying attention in class, he was just sitting at his desk with his head down hidden in his folded arms. When the teacher asked him if he had completed his homework assignment he flipped out, and started shouting and crying. The teacher couldn’t calm him down and ended up calling the Principal to our class, and when the Principal couldn’t talk any sense into the kid, who was full on screaming at that point and starting to throw some punches, the Principal lifted him out of his desk and started carrying him out of the classroom tucked under his arm. While he was doing this, the boy ripped the glasses off our Principal’s face and threw them across the room (Luckily they landed on something soft in the corner). The whole class was just kind of stunned. We found out later that the boy’s Grandmother had just died, and he was obviously having a hard time dealing with it. That day is one of the clearest memories I have of Elementary School, the last few pages of this story arc reminds me a lot of that day.

    1. gabe says:

Wow! I can see how you remembered that! We always remember all the times that really shocked or scared us. Wow.
