After my mothers horse died, my father turned the old horse barn into a workshop. He made some of the best wooden chairs in there. After he passed on the building went silent never to hear the sound of woodwork again. His tools were willed to family members, and the building sat empty. we moved to my step dads in 2002. I lived away for several years. When I came back the owners of the house had torn down the barn. Nothing is left accept a few pieces he built.
We had a pool when I was growing up. One day I was swimming when my foot touched an odd depression in the bottom. It wasnt until a year later that I could afford a mask and investigate the spot. come to find out it was a child sized shoe print. Smaller then mine by that point. Then I remembered back to sometime in the late 80’s when my parents had re-lined the pool. I was prolly no more then 6 or 7 at the time. When the liner was put in, and the pool filled it took the shape of that foot print. It was there all that time waiting to be found.

I’m sad not to see it.
Sorry about that! I really wish Youtube had a “publish” feature…
SON, YOU nailed this true story with all the details I forgot.
THANKS for bringing this FUN part of our life back!
Ha! I just did a cartoon, you built the Hut Tub!
Your dad sounds like the good kind of lunatic. n.n
The best kind of Dad!
Now that’s what I call a Hot Tub. ๐ Did your Dad keeps any notes on it, so if he wanted too, he could make another one?
I asked him, he said he’s too old ๐

Sad. It’s strange how these structures we thing are so permanent can so easily disappear ๐

Wow! That’s amazing! It’s like a footprint time machine! Thanks for the story!
Lucky Gabe!
Great story. It seems to me you had a pretty great childhood. Beautiful animation as usual.
Thanks!
This sounds amazing, I wish I could stay at your old house house for the summer.
