This is “Analog Agent Benjamin” coming at you this week with…. Jim Henson’s Dinosaurs

Jim Henson’s Dinosaurs was one of the best Muppet shows on TV at the time, and was one of the few shows that my Mom and I watched together.

My Mom and I never missed an episode; it was a very fun show. The one episode I will always remember was the very last one were all the Dinosaurs went extinct. The show run for about 4 season, and when everyone found out it was going to end, they ended it the only why they could with a show about Dinosaurs; they all went extinct. It was a very sad episode that my Mom and I cried when the show was over.

Were any of you also said to see it end the way it did?

I remember that final episode well, it was quite bittersweet.

When I had a social studies class in the 8th grade around the time the first Gulf War ended, I recall my teacher showed the “Nuts To War” 2-parter episode as it referenced the war quite well through parody.

I felt that episode was inevitable. I didn’t like it at all just because here Baby was just hatched an they’re killing it off. For the life of me, I didn’t remember it lasting 4 seasons.

I love the Happy Plant episode, mostly because of the ending, it was almost as though they were saying, kids don’t do drugs or else we have to embarrass ourselves making a “just say no” episode. Did you get that vibe too, I just thought it was interesting. I wonder if there was a lot of reefers on the old Jim Henson set, maybe not, but it made me suspicious ha ha.
