You start to hear the sounds of the morning, the wind rustling the leaves, the chirping of the birds and that’s when you realize what day it is–Saturday! Cartoons! All week long you’ve been starved of cartoons, and now it is your time to feast! You throw off the covers, shove your feet in your slippers and sprint downstairs!

Grab that big bowl of C-3POs, adjust the antennae and plop down on the floor for your weekly dose of animated fun!

This is “Analog Agent Benjamin” coming at you this week with…. The New Adventures of He-Man

This was one of those cartoon sequels that I thought was going to be great because it was picking up right after the first series, but then after I saw the first episode I was only completely disappointed with it instead.

As you can see, this series was nothing like old the He-man & She-Ra series. Other then He-Man & Skeletor, none of the other heroes & villains from the He-Man & She-Ra series ever showed up, and the animation of the series just looked plane dull and boring. The new version Skeletor just looked awful, he looked like someone just took an old skull mask and put on a rip-off of Darth Vader, and the new version of He-Man looked like a rip-off of Flash Gordon. In fact, the whole series looked like a rip-off of Flash Gordon, and they just added the He-Man name to it to make it look better.

Were any of you as disappointed as I was? Why do they have to ruin everything?

Sorry everyone, it seems the video I added to this post was removed because the YouTube user that uploaded it closed their YouTube account, so here is a link to another version of the video that I just found.

O.K., the video is fixed now. So enjoy the horror that is The New Adventures of He-Man.

  2. Although some say that the original series had a very limited animation or was ”corny” series is worst and dumbest.

  3. Oh christ, yuck, really? He-Man in the future? I would have never thought this would have been a good idea.

    Does anyone remember Fantastic Max?

I see the YouTube clip is gone, I’m glad I never see this to begin with.

“There is a classic thing in business, which is the second-product syndrome. Often companies that have a really successful first product don’t quite understand why that product was so successful. And so with the second product, their ambitions grow, and they’re second product fails.” – Steve Jobs
