You start to hear the sounds of the morning, the wind rustling the leaves, the chirping of the birds and that’s when you realize what day it is–Saturday! Cartoons! All week long you’ve been starved of cartoons, and now it is your time to feast! You throw off the covers, shove your feet in your slippers and sprint downstairs!

Grab that big bowl of C-3POs, adjust the antennae and plop down on the floor for your weekly dose of animated fun!

This is Analog Agent Benjamin coming at you this week with…. Fish Police

Fish Police was another show that tried to be like the Simpsons, only to fail.

The Show is like Dick Tracy, but with Fish. That is the best way I can sum-up this show. The thing is, it was not a bad show, but it was not that good either. Also, from what I can remember, only 3 of the 6 episodes of this series aired on TV before it got canned; which was a shame, since I did like this show a lot more than Capitol Critters-and that show had almost all its episodes aired on TV.

I also can’t help but think that all the female fish in this series looked like Jessica Rabbit from “Who Framed Roger Rabbit”.

Did you know that this show was based on a Comic Book series?

The early 90’s had a lot of Simpson imitators and those trying to get something up on prime-time. In the case of Fish Police, the creation itself was a loose adaptation of a graphic novel produced in the 80’s by Steven Moncuse, though the show bare no relation to it’s source material besides the name.

I had high hopes for this one. I somewhat liked the comic book and I’d been a big fan of John Ritter…sadly the show was not good…not good at all. Speaking of Ritter, did you ever see HERO AT LARGE? I still get a guilty thrill when I pop it into the VCR. lol.
