The first time I went over to your house we played Super Mario 2. If you would’ve played this instead I think videogames in my life would have never got past the Atari 2600.

Ha! Man, Mario 2 is so good! I gotta dust that off and sit down and beat it again…

I never played that game. I researched my games by standing in front of the store’s game case for hours on end. Then I’d borrow the game from my neighbor.

But the opening music, man. The opening music was awesome. At least on the original c64 version.

I actually made it to the third zone once or twice. I don’t know why. The game was pretty much crap.

In Japan, Spelunker is considered the epitome of the genre “kuso-ge”—in English, crap games. People there are obsessed with it, and you can find a bunch of stuff on YouTube that is supposed to parody one element or another of it. The theme music is pretty good, at least.

Interesting! I gotta find out more about these “kuso-ge”!

Why did they make SpelunkerHD then? Weird huh?

The worst game I ever tried to beat was the TICK on SEGA GENESIS. I made it about 4 hours in with no end in site before dying. With no save points I sure as hell wasn’t going to start from the beginning. Pile of crap.
