You start to hear the sounds of the morning, the wind rustling the leaves, the chirping of the birds and that’s when you realize what day it is–Saturday! Cartoons! All week long you’ve been starved of cartoons, and now it is your time to feast! You throw off the covers, shove your feet in your slippers and sprint downstairs!

Bouncing here and there and everywhere. High adventure that’s beyond compare. They are the Gummi Bears!

My brother-in-law still has his beloved Zummi Gummi plush.

I never saw any kind of merchandise for this show. Did it look good?

What a great show! I can only imagine what that one day was like at Disney when someone was chowing on candy and got inspired to make it into a TV series.

Their ealy cartoons were kinda weird huh? Remember, this was the second Disney TV cartoon they did after the Wuzzles!

      1. JoeFoo says:

I just randomly remembered the Wuzzles a few days back. I had to look them up on youtube to remind me who the characters were. Ah, the simple pleasures of cross bred animal species.

        1. gabe says:

Ha! That series is like what every animation student comes up with as their first character! “It’s a ______ crossed with a ______!”

My favourite cartoon show 80’s beside Ulises XXXI, Dragon’s Lair, He-Man, Snorkels and Transformers.

      …and Thundercats!!! Gooooo!!!

      1. gabe says:

Wow! We share a lot of favorites! I’ve never heard of Ulises XXXI though. I’ll have to look that up.

I watched this show religiously. It was on right after the farm report. 😉
Growing up in LA I used to go to Disneyland fairly often. (Annually as part of our school’s fund raiser the ‘Jog-a-Thon’.
I remember thinking that they should take the old rickety Matterhorn and seriously turn it into the new Quicktunnel ride!
    Eh, I was young. 🙂
