This is a great one, Gabe! So many budding artists drew extravagant battle scenes in our youth. Mine consisted of dinosaurs instead of robots, but consistently stayed in that profile view with little regard to proportions! Ah to be young again!
Eric & I would do that with spaceships crossed with Star Wars & Starblazers. We would use the church bulletins for the it. It kept us occupied during those long sermons…

I like this one a lot. That’s exactly what I did as a child too. I lived in different countries (i.e. US, Korea, Japan, etc) and drawing was the way to over come language barrier and make friends. Good old days! 🙂

I use to draw my own Transformer comics, only it was like an actually comic and not just fight scene after fight scene. I still have them to this day–buried away somewhere.
Ha! I used to design Transformers too! I would try to figure out how they could transform…
